Senior Quantity Surveyor

Breffni Air are a market-leading specialist contractor in mechanical and electrical installations, involved in projects across many sectors such as Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, Food Processing, Data Centres and Technology.

Due to continued growth and an extensive pipeline of work, Breffni Air has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work in our head office based in Cavan.

Role:

Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee management of tendering team Ireland, UK & Europe including completion and settlement of live tenders.

Duties:

  • Financial management of the overall projects from start to finish.
  • Prioritise tenders, workloads, tender settlement and issue to client’s preparation of tender handover packs to site team.
  • Ensuring tender schedule and settlement requirements are on target with tendering teams.
  • Update and issue weekly tender tracker to team regions and senior management with current tenders, scopes, client details and identify follow up actions to ensure schedule is on target.
  • Manage and oversee monthly process for certification of works for all agreed projects.
  • Issue monthly certification tracker and figures recovered to senior management and CFO.
  • Oversee management of assigned project accounts Planning, programming, and scheduling the duration of works.
  • Identifying potential commercial risks and ensuring prompt reporting of metrics to Senior Management.
  • Completing monthly valuations for works on site, completing monthly cost reports for budget V’s actual.
  • Recording, reporting, and managing projects risks, variations and cost overruns and the overall effect overruns may have on the project.
  • Undertaking and managing interim commercial meetings with the Client and Internal Project Team.
  • Completing the project close out documentations including final account resolution and agreement for all trade packages.

Requirements:

  • Quantity surveying qualification and at least 4 years previous work experience in Ireland/Europe.
  • Knowledge of Navisworks/CAD/P3 Programming/BIM.
  • Experience in Construction Planning, Programming and Control.
  • A good knowledge of the construction industry and previous mechanical experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation skills and communication skills.
  • Highly proficient on Microsoft suite.
